Glamping booking where guests pick dates by nightly rate and pay for barbecue in one go
A direct booking site concept for a hypothetical glamping site in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province. The operator sees bookings by room, pending deposits and refund requests together on the admin booking calendar.

Booking platform fees
Every booking from a platform carries a fee, which weighs heavily on a glamping site with few rooms.
- Problem 02
Extras handled separately
Taking extra guests or barbecue orders by phone means recalculating the amount and checking payment again.
- Problem 03
Refund disputes
When the refund policy is a long block of text, guests cannot tell what percentage applies to their booking.

Nightly rate in every calendar cell
ObservedMost weekend calls ask whether a specific date is open and what it costs that night.
DecidedEach room calendar cell shows the nightly rate and whether it is sold out, and the home page shows rooms left for October weekends.

Guests and extras added automatically
ObservedCollecting extra guest fees and barbecue orders on site adds another round of calculating and payment checks.
DecidedChoosing adults, children and grill, meat or firewood sets updates the per-night amounts and total in the summary right away.

Refund table by check-in date
ObservedKorea’s Consumer Dispute Settlement Standards base lodging refunds on days left before the stay, so guests have to count the days themselves.
DecidedThe payment screen shows refund rates and amounts by cancellation date, calculated from the chosen check-in date.

Managing pending bank transfers
ObservedFor bank transfer bookings, the operator has to check one by one whether payment arrived on time.
DecidedClicking a booking bar on the admin calendar opens the deadline and amount, where payment can be confirmed or the room changed.
