Academy parentnotification app
A parent app for arrival alerts, class notes and tuition in one place
A parent app concept for a hypothetical math academy for elementary and middle school students. When teachers check attendance in the admin web, arrival times appear in the parent app right away, and class notes and tuition bills are sent from the same admin.

Calls during class
When a parent calls to ask whether their child arrived, the teacher has to stop the class to answer.
- Problem 02
Notices in many channels
With group chats, texts and paper notes, parents cannot find past notices and the academy cannot tell who read them.

Manual payment checks
Sending bill texts every month and matching deposits to the ledger falls on the director or office manager.

Arrival alerts from attendance
ObservedTeachers preparing for class have no time to text each parent when a child arrives.
DecidedTapping arrival or departure on the admin attendance screen stamps the time on the parent app home and sends an alert.

Confirm button on class notes
ObservedGroup chat notices do not show who read them, so teachers end up following up on homework.
DecidedEach class note has a confirm button, the admin shows how many parents confirmed, and parents without the app get it by Kakao AlimTalk.

Switch children at the top of home
ObservedMany families have siblings in different classes at the same academy.
DecidedChoosing a child at the top of home switches arrival times, class notes, homework and tuition to that child.

Tuition and textbook fees shown apart
ObservedKorean academy law requires academies to post tuition fees and issue receipts.
DecidedThe payment screen splits tuition and textbook fees, links to the posted fee table, and still accepts existing Gyeoljeseonsaeng invoices.
