Pilates booking that hands cancelled spots straight to the waitlist
A member app concept for a hypothetical Pilates studio with several branches. Managers see the weekly timetable, cancelled spot assignments and instructor pay in the admin screen.

Last-minute cancellations
When someone cancels right before class, it is hard to call each waitlisted member, so the spot stays empty.
- Problem 02
Class passes tracked by hand
Handwritten deductions and holds lead to disagreements with members over sessions left.
- Problem 03
Month-end instructor pay
Adding up classes and per-session rates by branch in Excel adds to the manager’s work every month end.

To reduce empty spots, cancelled spots have to reach the waitlist without a manager making calls

Automatic assignment by waitlist order
ObservedA last-minute spot often stays empty while the manager is still calling the waitlist.
DecidedThe first member on the waitlist gets a notification, and if they do not accept within 20 minutes the spot moves to the next person.

Class pass history line by line
ObservedQuestions about sessions left come up when members cannot see when a session was deducted.
DecidedPayments, deductions and holds are recorded one line per date, each with the sessions left.

ObservedMembers open the app to check when they booked this week first.
DecidedHome shows a weekly calendar and booking list, and classes at the times the member attended most in the last 4 weeks can be booked there.

Instructor pay totaled automatically
ObservedInstructor pay is a repeated calculation of classes times the per-session rate.
DecidedThe admin screen totals classes and expected pay per instructor and exports them to Excel.
